Gen Y have never known life without mobile phones, fax machines, voice mail and Smartphone APPS.

Their world has always included bottled water, cable television, overnight package delivery, and chat rooms – so, now we know who’s the most globally aware.

These young people make up the most globally aware and culturally diverse generation in history.

Gen Y have no personal reference for a time before ATMs, MSN, PCs, DVDs, MTV, MP3, and SUVs! And sadly, Gen Yers have never known a world without AIDS, drugs or terrorist attacks. They were born at a time when children and family were in fashion again. Women were choosing to be single or stay at home mothers.

The economy was growing at a rapid pace and jobs were plentiful. So what does this all mean for getting the best out of your Gen Y team members who are your future high potential leaders?
